Assistant Producer

About 12 Yard

12 Yard was founded in 2001 by David Young and the creative team behind the worldwide hit Weakest Link. 12 Yard has gone on to become one of the world's most successful entertainment format creators, producing hit formats including the long-running early evening quiz Eggheads, prime time comedy entertainment show I'll Get This for BBC Two, Big Star's Little Star for ITV and Coach Trip for Channel 4.


The team at 12 Yard are now preparing to start production on their next series of Catchpoint (Celebrity Specials) hosted by Paddy McGuinness and are looking for an Assistant Producer to join the team for this short-term contract.


About the role

• Working closely with senior editorial staff the Assistant Producer (AP) will be responsible for briefing celebrity contributors to ensure they understand how the game works.

• The AP will chaperone celebrity guests in studio from their arrival, throughout the show and to their departure.

• In the lead up to the recordings the AP will write celebrity biographies and liaise with the celebrity booker and Production Manager regarding logistics for the guests.


About you

The Assistant Producer must have relevant TV production experience, be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail, and be comfortable briefing celebrity guests and working to tight deadlines.
